Hello, I have started reading Sluggy Freelance relatively recently, about slightly more than half a year ago. The comic instantly became one of my favorites. The nostalgic references (I actually reinstalled Diablo 2!), the later evolution to a compelling story and universe, the characters, the humor, I love it all. So, I finally decided to make an account at the forum to make contact with other fans and discuss the comic. Apologies for potentially bad English, it is not my first language.

Welcome to the forum Scumbag_Undead!

Only half a year ago... So you only know what the site looks and act like now. Somewhat disappointing in a way. Over a year ago it looked much different, and the Pledge levels didn't exist. Everything was completely revamped. Also Pete's sanity...or was it insanity? Not sure.

There's no need to apologize for English not being your first language. Many people who have it as their first language don't speak it good...

Anyway [member's name here], now I will tell you about the strange tradition aimed at newcomers.

At one time there were Pesterers who pestered you for poetry, but that tends to be very rare nowadays. Even though you may not be pestered, if you do go and post an original poem --usually haiku but any (clean) type is accepted-- written by you, you will most likely receive a gift in return. The "gift" will most likely be useless or maim you. Whichever it may be, it should be interesting and surprising. Lastly, this strange tradition applies to the pestering not the poetry. You are not required to do anything more to be a member here...unless you want to possibly get a [name of harmlessly fatal item here] or some other type of gift.

Now go forth and do (almost) whatever you want, just don't speculate in Reactions.
