Hello to all from the Green Mountains of Vermont!

Another long-time reader who's never gotten around to joining the forums here. I don't remember how I first found the niftiest darn comic on the web, but I do still remember the first one I read, and thus the date: Jan. 15, 2003 (in which :kiki: and :aylee: want to go "clubbing," and :bunbun: obliges them as only he can). Kind of a confusing entry point for a new reader, but I got up to speed fairly soon (back then, it was only 5+ years of archive to catch up on).

I've enjoyed the comic so much over the years (it's the only web comic that I've read so consistently for so long) and feel like I haven't given it as much support I could have (either monetarily or moral support as a part of the community), so I hope to rectify that as as it moves forward to whatever Sluggy 20+ brings. So let me start off here by saying a big "thank you" to Pete.

Welcome to the forum NightWight!

That would be an interesting place to start, though I know of another person who started in a even stranger place. They started where Riff was recounting to Torg The Isle of the Ployees. That is definitely more of a, "What the...?" starting point.

Any kind of help, will help.

Anyway, a lot of new people signed up recently, so I will have to keep this short (and amazingly identical). There used to be Pesterers to pester you for poetry, but who knows if that will happen. Even though you may not be pestered, if you do post an original poem--usually haiku but any (clean) type is accepted--written by you, you may also receive a gift in return. The "gift" may be useless or fatal, but it's a surprise. Lastly, the pestering is the tradition here, not the poetry.

Now go forth and mingle!

Isle of the Ployees would definitely be an odd starting point, too. I'd imagine the strangest place to come in would have to be during Wayang Kulit.

As for poetry, lets see:

There once was a man from Nantucket....

Oh wait, you said clean, didn't you? How about this:

A summer evening:
moths hover outside windows
basking in the glow.

Okay poetry. I'll go and look for something in the large pile of sh- I mean the location where I have some high quality items... I just call it something else.

Wait here while I go and get the excavator.

...

Ah here we go. I know it's a little dusty but don't worry the dust shouldn't mutate you too much. Anyway here an automated painless eyebrow remover and forehead tattoo applier/remover by Emca Quality Products. It gets rid of those pesky eyebrow hairs and for very stylish tattoos on your forehead (including eyebrow area). Once you grow tired of the tattoo, just have it removed and apply a new one. All tattoos are fully customizable and can be have anywhere from one to twelve colors.

Enjoy!
