Hello everyone,

Here I am to join the tidal wave of people pledging to support and be defenders 20+, quite literally, for Pete's sake :D

I'm 27, so barely older than the comic, and my brother brought me in, back in the days when internet connection in my part of the world was so unstable we would save comics and then re-read them out of boredom - I must have read the first few years three or four times cover to cover.

Well, now being the grown up responsible money earning adult, I've decided to give back fully to the comic that has not only entertained me for the past decade and a half, but also was a legitimate part of my childhood, introduction to puns in English, and a positive impact on my sense of humor!

Looking forward to seeing the next few comic panels as things develop, I am literally and metaphorically at the edge of my seat each day waiting for the update!!

OK, talk to you guys more later, back to being a productive member of the society. In case anyone is up to meet up, I am now an Expat in Shanghai in China, drop me a line :torg:

"Catch-ya on the flip side!"

Welcome to the forum Kel-do-rah!

My internet has always been fairly stable but I had a friend who was in the military and was somewhere he could only do email. So I copied about 10 years worth of the comic onto a disc and sent it to him so he could enjoy it as well. Unfortunately it didn't turn him into a Sluggite though.

I was definitely an adult in '97...well that's what people said back then. I'm not sure if I should trust them though, since twenty years later and they still say that. Pretty positive it's just a long term prank that just got out of hand.

Anyway, a lot of new people signed up recently, so I will have to keep this short (and amazingly identical). There used to be Pesterers to pester you for poetry, but who knows if that will happen. Even though you may not be pestered, if you do post an original poem--usually haiku but any (clean) type is accepted--written by you, you may also receive a gift in return. The "gift" may be useless or fatal, but it's a surprise. Lastly, the pestering is the tradition here, not the poetry.

Now go forth and mingle!
