Hello all...
I've been mostly lurking for a while. I spent a week or so last year where I accomplished nothing at work except to read through all of the Sluggy archives. I figured I'd finally stick my head up long enough to say hi. And then I realized, we have to write poetry? Eep!
So I'm cheating with this moving, deeply symbolic and profound bit of literature from my book. It's a bit reminiscent of Harry Potter, where they're stressing the importance of a wizard's wand.
Or maybe not...
---
There was a mage named Ellnorein
who lived in times long past.
A merrier man was rarely seen,
for he made magic last.
One day he met a lonely queen,
a lass as pure as gold.
His eye for beauty was quite keen,
so he said in this bold:
"A wizard am I, whom many dread,
with power like a God.
So come with me to yonder bed
and see my mighty rod."

Niftyness!! For your original and no-haiku poetry I give you, uh what would you prefer, a dragon egg, or some lunar real estate? You can have one but not the other.

Welcome! Now, while you're facing Crake's options, I'll give you another decision to make. *gives a Legion flight ring and a piece of kryptonite in the color of your choice*

That has got to be the best intro poetry I've ever read. That is supremly awesome.
For that awesome poetry, you get the Box O' Explosives of DOOM!. Not your DOOM!, however. They're actually quite fun!
Also, any relation to board local WCH?

Thanks for the welcome, all! Um ... nobody told me I'd have to make decisions. Let's see, how about the dragon egg and a nice hunk of purple kryptonite. Explosives of DOOM should be fun, too - Marauder_Pilot, how did you know I had a civil service meeting to deal with this morning? DOOM, DOOM, DOOM....
And nope, no relation to WCH.
So, are dragon eggs better poached, scrambled, or should I get ambitious and attempt an omelette?

Thanks Llefser, Axel. My choice? Hm...ya know, I've been diabetic about six years now, and if you could mix me up a carb-free root beer float that tastes like the real thing, you'd make me a very happy man!

Eyes tacos warily.
These aren't the sort of tacos that necessitate emergency pants, are they?

Depends on what size you get. There's the Mighty, the Super Mighty, and the God of all beefy goodness, the El Nino burrito. That sucker has a whole pound of beef in it.
Infer what you will from that information.

There's also the "La NiƱa" burrito. It comes with the fillings on the outside of the tortilla!
