In the Capital One commercials about Santa building his own credit card, one of the elves just Has To Be a Black Ops Elf. Watch for him near the the end, you'll see I'm right.

That might be pushing it. Pete is not the first, nor the last to suggest Santa's Elves might be like secret agents.
It would be totally awesome if all these links were collected together in the first post. There are so many! And probably more! But I don't want to add what I know for fear that it's already been mentioned..and, damn. 25 pages. That's some homework right there...

The second one I think. I have heard that phrase quoted in several other places. I have even used it myself before.

So ... According to CNN's Marquee Blog and the AP, FX series Damage's creators -- Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler-- are collectively known as "KZK". William Hurt has called them a “collaborative consciousness", and also states, “What I’m relying on here, instead of experimentation over a long period of time, is my faith in them: KZK.” Intentional or not, the quotes are hilarious. Oh, wait. Here's more information. KZK is the official name of their production company, according to IMDB.

Do you mean the "WOH PAH"? I would think that that would be kind of common.

Might be my favourite punchline in that comic in a while... Ian does use the "WHAT?" reaction often. I've wondered if that's one of the reasons his big revelations aren't as good as Pete's.

Okay, so contrary to my usual overly obsessive form, I didn't spend the time to read all 25 pages. And I am very dissapointed in myself.
BUT, I did search, and since "S.M. Stirling" and "Conquistador" both came up blank, I would guess that this hasn't already been said. Or I hope so.
And, it turns out there is another Sluggite among science fiction writers. S.M. Stirling, does sci-fi and alternate history and a little fantasy and some general random stuff-- in the book Conquistador a self-destruct sequence is initiated by saying "Overide B-1, Oasis." Which could be a wild, wild coincidence, but I doubt it. Made me giggle.

Well, I don't think this has been mentioned before -- I used the Search function, and it came up blank. There is a reference to Bun-bun (and Kevin, no doubt from "Kevin and Kell") in the web comic Freefall. They're also known as Lunch and Dinner... --tll
