Here's an idea I stole from Schlock Mercenary, but what if we (the fans) wrote transcripts of each strip for Pete? If he could add them to each comic's page (I'm not sure how simple that is), it would be easy for any Sluggite to find a particluar strip by googling "www.sluggy.com: [whatever]".
If there are enough volunteers, each could take a small segment of dates, and we could send Pete the transcripts when we finish.
Any takers? By my calculations, there are 3097 strips to be transcribed (as of this original posting), including fillers. Each person can do 3097/n strips, where n is the # of volunteers.

Hm. I'd help, but only if it was cool with the Pete man. I fear his displeasure.

This what you were thinking of? If they ever find it again, I'd volunteer time to transcribe the newer strips.

Yeah, I'd volunteer. Anything to avoid actual work. But it would be pointless if the Dialogue Search can be resurrected... I sense a need for communication with the big bosses, which could be a problem *sends sympathy to cerrita*
