Yes. Anima are lie detectors. Which is why, as earlier established, "bedeviled" are so dangerous. If they don't see it in the anima, they assume it isn't there.

While talking to Farmer Dillicutty, Cupidine's anima was blank and neutral, giving away nothing. That does not mean she had no intentions.

An anima shows how a person feels.
Cupidine wasn't socialized in the same world as these people. She's from a nearly deserted post-apocalyptic world, basically. I'm sure she feels differently about how things should be done, even if she's not bedevilled.

Of course, dillicutty and friends most likely wouldn't know that.
