Thursday was going to say something about yesterday's strip, but it's not sure what exactly is going on. It's slightly confused. Hopefully today's strip will elucidate on what exactly is happening. ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Please remember to vote everyday!

Anyone got a handle on the native's language yet?
So far, I'm guessing:
Dono = What (is)? Ulto = Dead / death / kill Paseo = Big ass monster Kek = outsider / stranger. Or possibly "spandex wearers" Ann'Imm'Maas = gaseous kryptonite psychic parasites OA- RAOAA = "Imma goin' (to) Disney Land!" Ohia = "I say, good chaps" Yearrrrrrrrrrrgh = Yearrrrrrrrrrrgh

My guesses: Dono. = (they) affect. Dono 'zap' = What did 'zap' affect? Dono kek! = What are you doing? Kek ulto! = They/You are enemies / danger! Pasea ulto? = Danger / enemies ahead! Kek tisso? = What's going on?

I'd be with Zoe and Gwynn here. "Yay, we're not dead, but less get out of here before one more random monster appears."

I thought they were going to be afraid of the local villagers' response, after the screams of victory subside. My brain is REAAAAALLLLY trying to find a different villain, apparently. "Quick! Run away from the people we just saved!"

'Bout time Riff went after the giant monster that only he could take out. Ranged weapons FTW!
In frame 3, Mr. Grumpy AND his sea-monster anima seem pretty upset. Just from getting some water splashed on them, or is there some connection to the big bad there??

If he is the chief protector, some of his people just died (on his watch). So yeah, he's upset. There could be another reason, but that one is straight forward... (which means it's the reason that Pete wants us to think - for now...)

One thing that is bugging me: How did the fight with the little hammerheads end quickly? Chaz still seems to be clean. Am I missing panels? Were they slaughtered so easily by the islanders that it happened off-panel?
