Here we are, the last Monday, and last day of this year.

Maybe next year will finally be the time for Thi'akmal the Destroyer to arise from its eight thousand year slumber and "remake" the planet. Well, we can always hope...

That "Good Bye" seemed rather final from Oasis. Like she really never plans to see Torg again.

Guess time will tell.

Well, this is the biggest group to go on an extra-dimensional adventure in the comic. I wonder if some won't make it back (in particular the three expendables, but I suppose there's some chance members of the main cast won't).

Take bets on the next arc. Is it gonna be "Oasis vs everybody" arc, or is it gonna be "Bun-Bun vs everybody" arc?..

That was subtly heartbreaking.

Now that Oasis isn't under the delusion that she loves him or the compulsion to kill, she is losing the only person who has been sincerely kind to her, who has experienced the worst she has done and still forgiven her and shown that he valued her.

Yes. With an air of finality.

Wait, they fluxed away and left Oasis inside the XT-34? I figured they would not want to let the XT-34 fall into military hands. Probably would have come in real handy in whatever dimension they end up in, and in future adventures. I assumed they would basically kick Oasis out the door and flux the whole ship.

The military folks are gonna wonder what happened to all the other heat sigs...

This has been a very nifty Sluggy year! We finally got to witness the demise of Hereti-Corp. And Dr. Schlock met his fate in a very fitting manner, running away to let someone else be hit by a missile. And Oasis is finally free from brain control. Amazing. Stay good, Oasis!

That either means that she does love him or that she's so conflicted that she just suddenly doesn't love him anymore. On some level, she must feel empty without that love.

<laughs> "Yeah, how crazy was that?"

People died, Oasis. Ice cream died. Poor, innocent ice cream. Oh, the confectionary...

She explained it herself some while back. The love is true, even if she knows it was artificially implanted into her. She feels it regardless.

And knowing that it’s based on a lie doesn’t change anything. Except probably make it even more difficult for her.

More like awww-asis, amirite?

Spirantz, I don't know. I think maybe this is her own recognition of how great Torg is and how much she's come to appreciate him, rather than any sort of lingering compulsion.

Oh, I’m sure it’s a bit of both, too. I can only imagine how hard it must be to wrestle with artificial feelings and new ones, all wrapped up into one. She won’t be meeting another Torg again. Not from this universe, anyway. :torg:
