This is a great strip. Oasis' speech was excellent. And the fact that the speech and the demise of Hereti-Corp is enough to make Kusashi post-pone the fight, not forever, but for the moment. It was really the best outcome.
I hope Kusashi makes it a long-term project to find Oasis when they're back on Earth. So she'll have a reason to go on. And in the meantime she can learn and do more things.

I want to grab Kusari by the shoulders and shake her. On another note, it is nice to see Oasis being considerate of what transpired all this time between her and the rest of the cast, namely Zoe.

"Do it for him (Torg)"
Oasis has always been one of my favorites and now that she is 'free' it is great to see her do stuff like this. And now that Sasha is free (still need that fully explained) she is making better choices.
So Oasis knows that she almost killed Zoe (but not Riff). But I don't remember if Torg sat her down and explained the really long story of what happened or he just "simplified" it and said she almost got burned. Like Bun Bun.
This is like the XMen arcade game. Now that Oasis is in space she has to go through a boss rush to get to the other end. She already passed Sasha, and now she has to pass Bun-Bun, Zoe, Riff, other Heretic corp dudes, Gwynn, and let's just pretend that Aylee is also there.

Lovely to see Oasis has come so far! Though Torg may not always have felt so nobly toward her, he has shown her those qualities. His actions toward Kusari are more varied than that though. He was betrayed by Sasha and didn't interact much directly as Kusari. Once he knew they were the same person and that the person was under hC control, he treated her with more of that compassion.
Sasha's line about melodramatic smugness makes all of this work.

On a sidenote, Kusari referring to herself as ''this'' (on both of the occasions she did so) gives off the impression that she doesn't quite consider herself a person. Maybe I'm overthinking it though.

No, she's referring back to Schlock's comment (row 6) and "her" sardonic quoting of him (bottom row). That's why Kusasha said "Heard that before..."

Seeing all this "redemption" makes me a little bit sad that we never got to see that in Dr. Schlock. He started out as an arrogant ass, and that's how he ended up. But "old" Schlock seemed to have had his arrogance somehow subdued when he first returned, and for a long time he seemed to be just a bumbling, socially awkward genius that was actually somewhat likeable. When he first took over hC, I had hopes that they would both be redeemed. But from the time that he committed genocide on his own inflatable tools [did he understand what they had become? Would it have mattered if he did?], onward, his passage beyond redemption became crystal clear. And yet, I suppose I wanted he and Riff to have a conversation about 4U City and what he had rendered. I thought it would change him. But it was his choice to not have that conversation, and his madness was evident to the very end when he killed himself with his own paranoia and arrogance. Sad.

Since nobody seems to have decoded the OP yet, here's what it says: The first block is, obviously, binary, and says "[date link here]". The second block is base64, and says "[5 dashes here]". The third block is hexadecimal, and says "[voting link here]"

Yeah, I held up hope for a long time that Schlock was working towards some good goal that he wasn't telling anyone about, that all his seemingly evil deeds were necessary for his grand plan to prevent a disaster or something. But apparently it was all just about maximizing his own safety by making the whole world his enemies. What a fool. Kusari has good reason to be patient. Once they're all back on the ground she can be three against one, instead of just two against one, to demonstrate the full extent of her superiority over Oasis.

I like how not everyone is stories can be redeemed. Variety adds spice.
