Well, last comic I said I didn't want this.
Thanks for listening, Riff! Way to plan ahead.
Also, the number of things Pete has premeditated in plain sight is colossal.

Psych is right!
However,
[pedant] An EMP would fry any electronics in range. You wouldn't "get it working" again. [/pedant]
But apparently that's not how it works in the Sluggyverse. Maybe the Happy Box EMPs are only strong enough to disrupt, not destroy.

A lovely little moment of eucatastrophe. Cranking up the sad with the previous one made it that much better. Well done, Pete.

I... didn't see that coming at all.
I guess we're in for a happy ending? Maybe?

But apparently that's not how it works in the Sluggyverse. Maybe the Happy Box EMPs are only strong enough to disrupt, not destroy. It can work that way in our universe too. Check out EMP effects on wikipediaQuote: A large and energetic EMP can induce high currents and voltages in the victim unit, temporarily disrupting its function or even permanently damaging it.

Riff getting back so soon by a means he had in his pocket totally ruins his moment of self sacrifice and undermines the story....
Just kidding. Love this moment. This is just a shining example of how Riff is awesome. Riff has gone to other dimensions so many times that I'm not sure what else could be done with it. Also, I was way off in my prediction that it would be months till we found out what happened to him. Well, I suppose it is technically next month since I said that.

I mean, I really could have seen this going both both ways. But, just one comic? Wow. I really wonder what universe he just zipped into and out of...

I thought the return remote required the DFA to be at the very least functional.
