It's smart, but... Wasn't pod actually moving at some speed when it was EMP-ed? I doubt a bit of wind would able to counter that much momentum.

I guess Riff lowered the cabin air pressure a good bit, because if it was still 1 atm, that maneuver required 350 pounds of one armed, unbraced pull strength. Maybe 1/4 atm?

But he didn't pull it straight off. He rocked it off to one side, using the handle as a lever to multiply his arm strength.
