Considering Schlock has been trying to kill Riff all day, I'm not sure why he'd hesitate here.

Okay, he's chanted half of the song now. I'm just disappointed Riff didn't pick up on it.
Anyway. Bye bye Schlock. We all recognize that face.

As soon as I saw Riff turned back to get supplies, I thought "Welp, there goes Schlock. He'll ditch Riff for sure." He didn't need single-life-support for that. He's been trying to kill Riff all day.
But it does almost look like he feels guilty about it. Hard to believe, especially with a fresh hole in his hand.

Riff died exactly how he wanted to. In a giant explosion. And it wasn't his fault. For once.
Also: bad mojo on Riff for taking his eye off the ball. Doc wants to kill him and even if the escape pod could seat 20 people he could have ditched Riff regardless.

I thought so too at first, but I think that Schlock is a continuous well of guilt, but he doesn't always acknowledge it. . Even in 4U City, he doesn't really want to be the bad guy and continuously blames everyone else for making him do the bad thing.

I just want to say that if Schlock escapes AGAIN and Riff somehow manages to survive AGAIN, basically putting us right back where we started, I'm going to be very disappointed with this story. Even "the bad guy wins" would be better than dragging out the status quo for another who knows how many years.

I suppose I should've figured out the song earlier, but I finally got it today. Same as it ever was.

Only life support for one... Oh that's simple to solve with two people. Just have one person hold their breath at a time.
Forcefully if need be...

Forcefully if need be... Don't forget to hug to maintain body warmth! Preferrably not around the neck.

S A M E A S I T E V E R W A S I think Schlock's look of concern might be more of a "oh god I hope Riff didn't have a plan for this" rather than second-guessing his decision. I also wouldn't put it past Riff to indeed have a plan for exactly this.

Somehow weighing in on what cities 'deserve' to be fluxed leaves a sour taste in my mouth...
Imagine that.

Did anyone else initially misread Panel 8, and think it said "Emergency Poo Deployed"?
