So then he has about twenty minutes to find a way off the ship and beat Schlock silly at the same time. Sounds good to me.

Riff: And if I don't like this deal?
Doc: Then I use this little bad boy here *pats his coat pocket*
{Self Destruct Initiated. 5...4...3...}
Doc: Oops. Now that's a design flaw.

Nice job, Riff to see the flaws in the logic! And thank goodness for Schlock's self-preservation... Still, a threat that relies on Schlock to save them is a sticky situation.

don't do it riff! stay good! (being good includes beating schlock with a plunger and/or screwdriver or emp'ing the nannites then beating him with a plunger and/or screwdriver).

Schlock is telling Riff to "cut the crap"? Space Pot does not recognize Space Kettle.

Also, how does he sleep if he has to yell a random phrase every twenty minutes?

I think it starts from now. My understanding is that he just activated the "Rypita" failsafe, so assumingly until he deactivates it, he'll have to use the passcodes every 10 minutes.
I could be wrong though.

That's my impression as well.

That makes sense.

So now Riff just has to use the EMP and then clobber Schlock on the way out of the escape vessel?

I don't understand Schlock's logic. Why do they both die if Riff beats him with a plunger? Would he really refuse to say the next passphrase? Is being beaten with a plunger worse than dying?

If you get beaten to death with a plunger, you typically have trouble saying passphrases. That's just from my personal experience though, your mileage may vary.

So is this where they finally have that heart-to-heart about 4U City? God I hope it is...

Until Riff finds out Schlock was just stalling for time while the DFA reset so he could wipe out half the world's population and lay the blame on our heroes.

You have personal experience being beaten to death with a plunger? Or, marginally more believable, you have personal experience beating passphrase-saying people to death with a plunger?

In any case, I will concede that being beaten to death by a plunger is about as bad as dying. But how about being tortured with a screwdriver? Surely that's preferable to dying?

Isn't "being ____ to death" the same as dying?
