I'm not feeling the best right now, but I'm at least able to give you Wednesday.

Schlock, ever the victim. I'm having a hard time seeing his side of things, seeing as he's got a body count borne of his desire to amass power.

Does anyone really believe the biggest coward in the universe has it in him to blow himself up? Yeah...

He never had to go after them when he was the head of Hereti-Corp. But he is a master at playing the victim.

The Ace up Riff's sleeve here is he knows the results of Schlock's plans. The thing is, I'm not entirely confident revealing the outcome from the DoR will stop Schlock from taking that path. It might even encourage it further...

But the truly important thing here is remembering inflatable spaceship safety: always carry duct tape

"Never my fault". Typical. Meanwhile, his plans will destroy humanity (let's face it, when humanity is reduced to one city, civilization is lost and unrecoverable.).
Self-destruct button? He's psycho, but he's cowardly psycho. I would not believe that suicide is even his "Plan Z".

Well, the ship is already "blown up". Pressing the button will just inflate it even more.

What a weird shape for a self-destruct button

Sorry Doc Schlock, but you are indisputably the Bad Guy.

And I agree - zero chance that's a self-destruct button. There's not a power in the universe stronger than Schlock's self-preservation instinct.

Schlock has the nature to make what he's done everyone else's fault and him the victim... Even when he was in complete control of the situation. Riff, don't believe this guy. His only desire has been to survive.

This strip is a perfect reminder that the Villain is always the hero of his own story.

For some reason I am reminded of the scene from "Last of the Time Lords" where the Master threatens to activate all of his black hole converters. I agree that Schlock's threat is just as empty, for the same reasons. :)

Huh. I just rewatched that in the past few weeks. And yeah, no way does Schlock have it in him to self-destruct.

I think he's just stalling for the DFA repair.
