Wow. Zoe has never been able to say that. This strip hit me hard. We get so much from Torg or Riff's perspective. Torg almost thrives on the run, and Riff is driven to defeat "bad guys." But for Zoe, it's never been that way. From the beginning, she had more to lose (family), and lost even more (certainty of herself).

I was being a bit too broad when I said "neurons". I was thinking about the neurons in the cerebral cortex specifically but stupidly said it that way. In few other areas of the brain, yes, a very minor amount of neurons are replaced, but definitely not in the cerebral cortex.
