My thoughts as well.

It's not like Schlock cares about the goons (employees of HC) in that lab with our heroes. IF they all fire at once, their concentrated groups of bullets (AK-47's. REALLY???) will not only do in the targets, but, given the demonstrated capabilities of the average HC goon, tear huge holes in the wall behind our heroes.
The goons die in an explosive decomp episode, our heroes get sucked out into space, Schlock loses an inflatable decoy, the inflatable bulkheads clamp down again, BUT: Riff finally get's killed.
Schlock would be safe from having his ear-hair used to swab out the barrel of Riffs laser cannon. Also, his theft of Riff's tech would be secret again, but that's a secondary concern. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to get laser cannon residue out of ear hair??

Of course he doesn't know his DFA is in the airlock. That would be a loss later.

I still don't understand how ejecting it will solve any problems, though; they should be able to send out a shuttle when they see it go.
