The Phone Story Part 4

BTW, I am loving this phone story.
Unfortunately--or is it fortunately?--there is only one more part to go. Since not enough time has passed for anything more to occur...yet.

Hmmmm....so Zoe is now floating next to the XT-34...she isn't inside it. I wonder if that makes her far enough away to not get zappo'd when it's fluxxed.

She's still connected, though.

Depending on the width of the flux beam, that could put her far enough away to not get fluxed - the cable that connects her to the station would only be partly fluxed..

Do we know if the Satellite mounts a standard DFA or a heavy DFA?

It could make a difference to the way things are fluxxed by it

Remember it doesn't work on a beam width process, it can "work its way around the target". The DFA and heavy DFA do that slightly differently though if I remember right although the details are a little fuzzy.

If I recall correctly, the small DFAs have "smart" targeting and only work on organics. (So if your hand gets hit, the beam sends the rest of you with it, it doesn't chop off your hand.)

The heavy DFAs just flux wide spherical areas and will flux the ground and parts of buildings as well.

I would assume the satellite DFAs are the heavy kind but I don't remember for sure.

Explained here.
