Hurray! A new strip!
Things couldn't have gone THAT smoothly, or else there wouldn't be much Sluggy left. So, go Schlock?

And Torg thought he chose poorly when he decided to hang onto his helmet.

At first I thought that Riff was being overly dramatic in panel 1 but then I realized that Riff was throwing him duct tape. And it makes sense that Riff would have some since that was what Sashas were using to restrain prisoners.
And thank Torg/Frog for some good science there.

Musky-5 is still going faster than Mater-1 (unless the latter now accelerated further). They don't come to a stop, just because they stop the engines. They're moving as fast in the last panel of this comic as they did in the last panel of last comic... Quite obviously none of them ever played Kerbal Space Program...

Options: 1. Oasis heat ray. 2. Bun-bun-ex-machina. 3. Find something to shoot down Agent York. 4. Parley, using Shankraft as a hostage. 5. Try to find out other ways for Oasis to operate satellite than heat ray.

They still have a pik-rifle, and I'm pretty sure Riff's inflatable laser canon made it aboard with Chaz and the omni-taser.

Poor Riff. This has been a roller coaster ride of not being able to do anything...

That many holes in the hull and explosive decompression should have already torn the ship apart.
And yeah, Newton's first law doesn't quite apply here: this isn't a question of speed, it's a question of acceleration.

I'm going to assume when Schlock said they stopped that means that Riff pulled some kind of reverse thruster braking action. There's no reason to assume Pete's breaking laws of physics just because he's not narrating every stupid thing that's happening. On the contrary, using up narrative space to cater to people who are anal about this stuff would be a bad thing. Frog's statement that it's still moving should have been more than sufficient, but I knew when I came here I'd find people being picky about it as always.

Seems like Pete rushed this strip a little bit to get his 12 strips in by the end of the month. Not that I blame him.
Evidence? Kusari looks a bit shoddy today. Pete's been putting in a lot of extra effort to drawing her curves this past year. Today does not reflect his best work. Hahaha.

Hmm, about the people on board the Musky-5: Daiyu and Shankraft are engaged. Oasis and Torg are, technically, engaged. Sasha/Kusari dated Riff. So far, Oasis has killed Sasha/Kusari and got some cuts in the process; the shuttle they're on is full of blood, has been holed and is venting atmosphere; Daiyu has been shot in the leg and someone is stealing Oasis's brain. Worst. Triple. Date. Ever. Spirantz wrote: ...Kusari looks a bit shoddy today... Well, she is receiving orders from Dr Shoddy.

Pied Typer wrote: That many holes in the hull and explosive decompression should have already torn the ship apart. What do you mean "should"? Yes, they are rapidly loosing atmosphere through the holes, but I don't see how it would compromise the structural integrity so much for it to rip itself apart. Lord Golbez wrote: 'm going to assume when Schlock said they stopped that means that Riff pulled some kind of reverse thruster braking action. I just assumed he meant Riff stopped accelerating. Which means he is still going to miss what he was aiming for.
