Looking at the comic, I would say he does. If you look really hard, you can find quite a few identical droplets.
Indeed, if you look at the two droplets between Oasis and Torg's eyes in the first panel (one heart shaped, one barbell shaped) you can find an identical match directly below Chaz on torg's shoulder. You can also see that same pair on panel 6 on Torg's chin and Riff's shoulder. Naturally anywhere there's a match the nearby droplets also match, it's just a matter of spotting the repeat interval with a key pair.
"Drawing" more panels shouldn't be too hard, however I do want to point out that it looks like the original pattern is at least normal panel-sized, so there was some effort putting into creating that.
I note that the same pattern also appears in the previous comic, so he's reusing the same one each time.
…not that there's anything wrong with Pete doing that.
