I'm having a hard time making out what Oasis is doing in that last panel. Looking at the first line however, I wouldn't be surprised if she has burst into tears. The comment about Kusari running off AOL sounds like a twisted joke. Could they have any link with those free AOL CDs I kept getting at the start of the century? Oh, and I suppose I should be glad that I guessed three out of the five words in the acronym right: Organic(ally), Augmented and Incendiary. Though those were the most obvious ones. I like this one.

Well, it's been 18 years, 3 months, and 18 days, but we finally have a definitive answer to who or what Oasis really is.

There seems to be a big piece that Schlock surprisingly doesn't know about. Or somehow thinks is irrelevant, which would be odd given where he comes from and why he left there...

Oh my God! Information overload!
They are both satellite minds. Kusashi knew and didn't go mad from it. But then, she can't feel like humans feel, apparently. That is tragic.
Poor Oasis. But this opens up possibilities. The technology that made her is beyond Hereti-Corp's comprehension, and therefore should be beyond their full control. Know thyself, Oasis! Quickly!
How immensely satisfying it is to finally find out the truth about Oasis, after SO MANY YEARS of waiting. Good God, two decades of waiting, the majority of my life. What an immensely long story before the reveal is made.

So, uh... how often is it that a writer keeps you waiting this long and actually gives you a payoff that really knocks your socks off? Pete hid the breadcrumbs the whole way, but we still didn't get it while in the end giving us something both satisfying and pretty awesome.
Sorry if I'm gushing, but this has to be one of the best payoffs in Sluggy history. Thanks for carrying us this long, Pete! Bravo!

I'm wondering how the Web factors into this.

Coming out of lurk mode. I just want to say Bravo to the page header parallax effect. I spent (at least) five minutes just scrolling up and down.
*Back to lurking!*

Well we do know her clone DNA is based off of a Fate Magic user.

Almost 20 years and we get a big reversal on what we thought about robo-Oasis. And poor Oasis. "Curse my full suite of emotions"
Also: Gymnastics "again"?

Coming out of lurk/quiet mode to say: (yesterday's reaction) Holy sh*t. (today's reaction) MEAT PUPPET!!! Ouch that has gotta hurt.
Edit: I was more explicit and found that sluggy forums automagically changed my word to "poop". Hilarious! [It's been that way since at least '04. word replacements for most of the usual swear words. -G]

Even though she was a "weird girl" sasha seemed to display more emotion than just envy.
Didn't she?
... right?
