Ah, Kusari's run into the age old problem all deadly serious villains in comedy series deal with: once you unmask and have a familiar face, you're fair game for all sorts of hilarious slapstick. Muhuhaha.
Though now that I think about it, Sasha didn't get all that much slapstick back in the day either. Kusari might've been the butt of more jokes than she was.

Still not sure why the Omnitaser doesn't cause lethal damage. I guess because it is a running joke, but, hey, lightning eyes.

No, it made both a "Zttt" or equivalent, followed by a "Zot".The sound effects were different when Torg discharged the omnitaser into the ground via Chaz though. Oh, and Sasha/Kusari should have known better than to tell Torg not to do anything foolish. This is Torg we're talking about.
