Thank you! I wondered what in heck you were doing with the glasses, the strange spelling, etc...

I’m totally fine with the comic not being every day, but I wish I knew when to log in. Little disorienting to miss a few days and not know if you’ve missed a comic or not (at least on my mobile browser, I can’t just hit ‘back’. I have to go back a chapter, scroll through, then click ‘next chapter’ to get to the next-to-last). It’s also disorienting with the pace- I’m losing track of things that happened a month ago that would have been 9 days ago. Been reading Sluggy for 17 years and want to see this through, but the uncertain schedule sure has made that tough.
That seems like an odd way you are doing it. Clicking on "View in Archives" then scrolling up to a strip you remember I think would be easier.

Of course there is another way that would make it less likely for you to "spoil" things for you. Use your Bookmark on the last strip you read. Go to your Profile and click on the bookmark and it will take you right to the last one you read. Just remember to re-bookmark it when you get to the end.

And then there's the even more obvious age old argument to the web designers of "don't break the back button. What are you, crazy???" and "View in archive" doesn't mean the same to a programmer as it does to a regular user.

Which has been pointed out about 100 times now by many different people. And it would be SOOO quick and easy to change some text description to something more accessible and obvious to the readers. **eyeroll**

Also, if they can program a nifty (though somewhat buggy) chapter viewer that loads on scroll, I'd think they could also allow a calendar system as a secondary or integrated option. The design is cool, but the navigation is terrible.

Oops there I go again. I meant to say "Oh, Roberts! You so 'cray 'cray!"
...

I'm just trying to help with what we do have and what we're going to be stuck with no matter how much people complain. Yes, in my opinion, navigation does need help. That 3D Book thing for example. Much easier/quicker to use the green rectangles on the profile page to get to a chapter.

Though there is a calendar function as a drop-down selection under Archives in the top nav-bar. Unless you are referring to some other type of calendar. Then I don't know.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Schlock here? There aren't enough villains that understand that a certain level of "backstabbing" is to be expected amongst your fellow villains for self-preservation and general villainlyness purposes, and that through careful negotiations you can still work together to achieve great things. Granted, that's all kind of ruined now, and I'm sure he'll be fine even if Chen is feeling burned out by this turn of events, but still.

Yes, I also thought that was pretty impressive by Dr. Schlock. It's simply an acceptance of how things work in the circles he moves in now, without making it personal. Just business.

Yay, I think I hit the nail on the head. Robert's has the mind of a child and is quite possibly insane.

I don't see anything that indicates that schlock knew about the pyrokinisis before, Say, his acquisition of hereticorp.

It is Halloween today. So it will give you a Trick or a Treat --depending on your constitution-- about the Eye-Gouger series.

Warning: It is a long read, but it does have surprise at the end.
Spoiler: show
Secondary Warning: This will contain some mild spoilers for the webcomic Homestuck.
Tertiary Warning: Homestuck is over 10000 pages long and has something like 3 or 4 novels worth of dialogue.

Part One:
I really had no idea what I was going to do. Only had the idea that Riff had no glasses/eyes and Torg would draw "something" in place. Tried "Torg eyes", googly eyes, x-ray eyes, anime eyes, but couldn't really come up with something that really worked. After trying that for awhile, it finally occurred to me that Dirk's glasses from the webcomic Homestuck were very similar to Riff's glasses. Dirk talks a lot, acts very cool, and is actually very smart. And eventually he becomes the "Prince of Heart".

Only problem with going this direction was that most people have no clue what is going on and now it became a series and not just a one-shot comic as originally thought. Also the entire run was going to reference Homestuck. No idea how long though.

Part 02:
The red glasses are from a troll named Terezi. She is blind and has enhanced her senses of taste and smell to a degree that she is now able to "see" color with those senses. She has a quirk where A, E, & I are replaced with 4, 3, & 1 respectively. I don't think she ever tried to lick someone's face but she has sniffed some people a little too much and creeped them out.

Part 03:
With Torg's blue crayon, he turns one of the lenses blue. Now Riff has the powers of the Troll named Sollux. He has telekinesis which he rarely is see using. Also because of his incredible psionic abilities, he hears the "Voices of the Doomed" all the time. His quirk is doubling all "I"s, replacing S with 2, and using two instead of to or too.

Riff hears the voices of the doomed...tacos (which you can see as well if you look closely) and uses his new telekinetic ability to restrain Torg on the ceiling so he can't get the tacos. At this point I knew exactly how the last panel of the last strip was going to end and it was going to be about 6 or 7 strips long.

Part 04:
Had to make many alterations to the original artwork to make this one work. Tried to find a better Kiki to use but had to make due with what was close enough and alter as needed. The Poppers like the tacos were calling out to Riff for him to eat them. But unlike the tacos they are a bit more...well, you can see what they are saying if you look closely. Also I'm not sure if it's clear, but Riff is levitating the book for Kiki to read. Kiki has very good taste in reading material.

Torg is getting tired of being stuck on the ceiling so he draws Equius' glasses down, and cracks them. Equius is a Troll who is monstrously strong. He unintentionally breaks things all the time. One reason his glasses are perpetually cracked. He has a quirk where he uses horse and cow puns when speaking.

Part 05:
This one became way to wordy and I really should of split this one up into two instead of thinking about adding another strip after to bridge from this one to the ending. Equius sweats profusely when he is uncomfortable about something. Seeing a bucket laying out in the open in someone's room would be one of those thing to most Trolls. Not wanting to give away too much, but seeing a bucket would be somewhat equivalent to seeing porn magazines laying all over the place in a human's bedroom. He has no problem with the towels.

Part 06:
Not much to say here. It is pretty self explanatory that sweat, drawn glasses, and a towel do not mix. Though we are now in a loop. Pete didn't forget to draw his glasses, Riff wiped them off because they were only drawn by Torg which are not nearly as good as Pete's ink.

Well there you go. I do not really expect to revisit the Eye Gouger Saga.

This should be playing back smoothly. If not, you probably have something in another tab messing with it.

I really had no idea of the references, but enjoyed the Eye Gouger Saga nonetheless!

If nothing else, he was scanning very carefully when Oasis crisped Zoë and (almost) Riff. I think he definitely knew about the pyrokenesis (gotta spell it right/wrong yaknow).

That was past his acquisition. He surely knew most of what he knows about Oasis now soon after the acquisition including probably some things we still don't know.

That is an interesting point... Schlock mentions 'taking over the world' in his second scene as Hereti-Corp (or rather, House of Cheese) CEO. He had enough time to give Kusari an order and her to follow up with it, so maybe he already had learned things about Oasis and was mentally forming his plan. But it seems rather fast, and raises the question of whether his motivations in the Schlock Triangle are the same as whatever his motivations for taking over the world were then. He may not have known whatever there is to know about 'the fire' then.

Also, let's not forget that, regardless of Override B-1, Oasis has still held a personal grudge against Hereti-corp for the last 9 years because, among other reasons, they killed Feng and are threatening world domination.
