There is no Eye-Gouger #5 for Friday. Instead, you get an image that completes the "set". ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day.

I don't know what's better, that Frog has a Nelson collection or that it's on lp.
I guess he can't live without Corsica's love and affection.
Edit: What is that, like one-and-a-half records?

I can think of several good reasons why he didn't, but part of me wishes Pete had borrowed from Get Smart here.
Schlock: Don't tell me Dr Steve's computer banks were destroyed? Roberts: Dr Steve's computer banks were destroyed. Schlock: I asked you not to tell me that.
(By the way, the apostrophe is missing in Roberts's original reply in that panel - "Dr Steves" instead of "Dr Steve's".)

My regard for Frog has gone up several notches.

I was worried that Schlock would laugh and say that the base didn't matter. I'm glad something was a success for our guys!
...wait, did we know that about Roberts?

It was mentioned because of the buttons that Torg and Chen had to push to get into the base. One was Roberts after Julie Roberts and Chen mentioned Roberts was a Dr Steve rebirth.

Isn't this the first time we've gotten a full-on clear look at Roberts' face?
He's also being unusually coherent and clear...

Didn't Roberts wear the antenna on the side of his head (like a walkie-talkie) in the past?
And now he's the only voiceprint to match Doctor Steve. Hmm.

That hole seems oddly small to me. Like, barely big enough for one smallish building, not an entire base.
Also I find it unlikely that Schlock *didn't* know about Roberts.

Take a look at the aerial view in http://archives.sluggy.com/book.php?cha ... 2016-11-16 - it looks like Pete just messed up the scale of the base relative to the road and trees (or the road and trees are huge, or the base is weirdly tiny for some reason.) I noticed the same thing, though, and I'm assuming the base is considerably larger (maybe not that huge, though). Maybe it can be hard to get the scale of roads and buildings right, since we don't usually see them from above. It reminds me of the world map in a book called Tailchaser's Song, where you can see the roads and buildings in the bottom right corner are way large compared to the world generally.

Nelson? Ricky Nelson? Major Nelson (not a singer or musician, so probably not)?
Waitaminute - Google knows all - twin sons of Ricky. How did I never hear about them before?
