With just one eye, Tuesday can compel another to do its bidding. Just by looking at them and silently sending an incantation, they will immediately do what the fiendish spell tells them to do. They stand at the ready for what the one eyed warlock wishes them to do, even if Tuesday does not look at them or even acknowledge for long stretches of time they even exist. They do not try to escape, since they know It also has the ability to control whether they live or die with merely a look from its one eye.

Complaint of the day:
Just noticed that the Sluggy Freelance RSS Feed is up. Though the link to it is in an odd place. It's as a drop-down option under Archives, BUT only on the main site's nav-bar. Strangely, it's not available on the forum's nav-bar. Figured the bar would be the same across all pages... Fixed now.

Yeah, that's an info dump.

A good type though.

Wow! Very interesting. I appreciate that the technologies he proposes for the transponder aren't affected by distance and are difficult to interfere with in principle. :) And I appreciate Torg's sharpness!

But Chen is still lying (I mean, duh). This isn't really spec, just a statement of fact, but
Spoiler: show
Driscoll had no idea about Oasis' resurrection. It doesn't seem likely that Oasis could die and come back from the dead without Driscoll noticing.

Chen slipped up. I wonder if Torg noticed.

And now Pete spends two weeks on the Kusari reveal, but just as she's unmasked we go into a 2 year side story/flashback just like your favorite manga and every single sluggy reader goes insane.

Finally we learn how these things were connected! Orsintos lab, the orphanage, Dr. Steve having possession of Oasis. Ahh. It only took a decade of wondering.

Yes, keeping us waiting is anticipated. Still, the Kusari reveal is likely tied to the Oasis reveal, which may be why Pete is bouncing between them so he can reveal them to us at once. Heck, even if one isn't related enough to spoil the other, the parallelism is probably just too tempting.

Wow! Yay for Torg's insightfulness bringing together more than a decade of spec! Still don't completely trust it though because Chen is not to be trusted.

Wait. Sinthea is holding a book, wearing black shades and is that a cane next to her?

The combination of large story dumps and unreliable narration make these all hard to follow.

Also Chen is way too eager to get in there.

And what exactly is that supposed to mean? The true O.A.S.I.S.?

That's quite suspicious, yes.

It seems unlikely that a cane would stand upright by itself like that. It might be a pipe going up the wall and out through a hole in the window. But is that Sin'Thea or "the true Oasis"?

Huh, have I really been registered here for six years without a single post?

Anyway - I've consistently been impressed with Pete's ability to leave threads and trails over the course of YEARS. I'm not so hot on the goofs and puns, but one of the chief reasons I'm still reading this strip after all this time is because I'm fully invested in the story. All the disparate strands, all the clues, all the hints and nudges, finally coalescing - that's what makes Pete a master storyteller. Well done.
