So... is this all the setup coming? How big (or sudden?) does whatever is going to happen be? What are we going to see or learn or understand? This seems like a regular setup for any ol' Friday, so the suspense comes literally only from knowing that this is the 8/24 comic!

This seems ridiculous. I agree with Riff. They don't even know if they actually won yet. The timing is terrible. Is Kusari so important that Bun-bun thinks he needs her to win?

I don't think Bunbun is the type to REQUIRE the honourable one-on-one revenge win. Assuming he's sincere, he saw the best, easiest opportunity to take her down with the least amount of effort required. He's already made it clear that he didn't care about the war, so this wouldn't surprise me. Then again, a knife to Kusari's neck wouldn't surprise me either. Both options are sneaky and lazy which fit with his character. A win-win no matter which way the tide is turning.
