When surrounded by evil monsters you quote James Cameron's Aliens:
"Engineers, We Are Leaving!"
Meh, close enough.

Riff's genius level knowledge of DNA splicing put to good use yet again.

Interesting that the conductor said human. We know dudes like Daebo and bipedal Caribu (assuming they are still around), and Frog and Kiki have anima, but I don't remember what these glass-eyed elf-looking dudes are called.

Riff's really getting back to his roots here! Explosions! Edible things that should not be eaten!

I guess Daebo isn't going with him. But why now? They still haven't gotten the DFA.

Don't be jealous when other scientists make world-altering discoveries before you do. It's all for the advancement of ... SCIENCE! (*lightning stroke in the background as thunder rolls*).

Someday, the research into Marshmallocules will bring untold benefits to humanity.

"What ungodly roars! The monsters are still nearby and they sound angry!"

This reminds me of when I was in my teens and I was running in the forest, and almost ran into an elk. It was standing across the path with its head turned toward me. I wasn't wearing my glasses and I was looking down, and it was brown, so I didn't see it at first, but when I did it was quite a shock. I stopped a few meters away. Then it lumbered off the path to the right.

I stood still for a long time. Then I thought that if the elk returned I should have a large stick, so I went off the road to the left to break off a thick branch. And then I heard heavy steps from the other side of the road as the elk walked away. All that time it had stayed right next to the path to watch me, and without my glasses I hadn't noticed. I thought it was gone. After that I dropped the branch and just kept running, fast.

"Daebo sad too. This is goodbye." As I thought, Daebo no want to go with flux machine again. Daebo fine here and who knows what future would be for Daebo? And Daebo can't go to no-anima world. Daebo used to anima over shoulder, would make Daebo sad not to have it anymore.

Trains absolutely do stop on the world Torg and crew are from. The problem is that mass plus any amount of speed equals a ridiculous amount of inertia, resulting in a stop that's generally a mile or so beyond the point it would have done much good. Earth-brakes just aren't up to the job, so it would be interesting to know how Anima-world handles it.

Goodbye to who though? Isn't it goodbye to that time and the people there if Daebo goes with them?

It's absolutely true that sugar and protein (the constituents of marshmallows) in contact with air can break down into inert gas – but when it happens that quickly the process is usually called "fire".

When your group is too weird for a dinosaur-hobbit-bird creature who talks in the 3rd person.

We already have a bunny, alien, and ferret. We've hit quota. Gotta throw this one back!
