I'm going to be as serious as possible here...
Here's to everyone who's ever served on the staff of the boards, no matter how their tenure ended. Much love to everyone, and to those who are still doing the moderating dirty work now. A million thanks to Pete for the comic that inspres us all so much, and to Thyla and rit for giving us this place of joy and friendship. This community has meant so much to me since I joined three years ago.
I raise my glass to all you posters out there, without you guys, there would be no sluggy.net boards.
Lastly, and kinda sadly, I raise my glass to those posters of the past who touched our hearts, but have drifted away... Wodan... Gridley... gdarklighter... even Outworld. They all hold a place in each of us.

As a new poster here, but as a lively participant in other places on the net and in other times, I must say that this is a wonderful community and you can see it straight up, right when joining.
Thyla and the moderators do a great and imprtant job in upholding the worthy standards in a friendly way. The people are really great, and it's a fun and comfortable place to be! Thanks!

Happy birthday forums! I've been around for a long, long time. As you can see, I still post (even if somewhat infrequently), and just wanted to pop on to give my congratz and such!
And I'll agree with FTM and raise a glass to all the dearly departed posters, who are off doing whatever they are doing. I wish you well, and a look at all the avatars I've done for people long since gone bring a tear to my eye.

I'm more of a reader than a writer, but what the hell.....
Happy Birthday Sluggy forums for pointing out things about the comic I would of otherwise never noticed and giving me something to read while I wait for my oven to spit out my lunch. And thank you to all the the interesting, humorous, and often times intelligent people who make that half hour of my life a little more interesting. And for pudding, which I know you didn't make but heck, who doesn't like pudding?
