ubercon VII is in about a month and i plan on going. just wondering if anybody else is going. if they are would anyone care to share a room for a night to lower costs.

Just wondering.....I was looking at the guest list and don't see Pete's name there. The only mention of Pete/Sluggy is under Rob Balder's profile (for working on Get Nifty). Yet the picture on the page for guests is Pete. Is the list just incomplete or (gasp) is the Sluggy crew not going to be there??

Hmm... I don't know. There are three possibilities: 1) they won't be there. 2) they ARE going to be there, but UberCon hasn't put them on their website yet. 3) they're going to be there, but in an unofficial capacity, so there's no mention on the website.

I'm still going to go anyway, mostly because I already bought a 3-day pass, and there are other people there that I don't get to see often (like Skullx!)

Looks like the rooms (which are all suites) are going for about $400 for the weekend.

I know the rooms are all suites so there's plenty of crash space, but it's not worth $400 to me if I'm all by my onesies. In fact, it would be cheaper (although less convenient) for me to pay for transportation to and from my house.

*ponders*

I'm going to do some math and see which is more financially viable.

I'm not getting a room after all. Because I'm not rich. And busses are cheap!

i have a room at the hotel for ubercon. however it is only for saturday night. if anybody needs a place to crash PM me and i'll give you contact info.

Today is the first I've heard of UC's date. Not enough notice, won't make it this time.
