This is the NWE simulator known as "Double Eagle". There are two radiation sources, powered by multi-gigavolt Marx generators, firing into a central "pit"; the original design would have had 16 sources encircling the pit - but the money to complete it never came through. Instead, they built the "Z-Machine" (which is roughly the same design; Eagle is essentially the prototype).

Currently, it isn't operating, due to budget cuts - but when it goes off, it shakes the whole 200,000+ sq. ft. building I work in.

And it's OUTSIDE the building.

EDIT: Really, it's a Riff machine more than a Torg machine...

Most of my avatars are headshots of myself. Occasionally I'll change to a themed avatar that fits with an RPG I'm in or running.

Sans sunglasses (which belonged to the girl to my right wearing my cap) this is more or less what I look like currently, since I just got my hair cut again.
