The champion is immune to bullets, but not gasses. One wonders if a paralytic gas (or a flash bang) would work; neither would kill it but both would render it largely inert. Heck, a bright enough laser would do the job by simply blinding it (but not, again, killing it).

The rifle fires an incapacaitating sound instead of bullets so it should be good there. Projecting a gas across this distance might be a problem unless the barrier goes down, as any method I can think of to deliver to in a timely manner involves canisters that would be blocked.
Well, I'm hoping that sonic vibrations don't count as kinetic energy and won't be blocked, but given that I heard the Seeker screech one prays that isn't the case.

The kinetic barrier is one-way. It prevents you from shooting them but not them from shooting you.
Fortunately, it also doesn't block sound. In either direction.

Don't I get a free tag on aspects recently applied through skills? Like consequences?
Not that it matters now, given how thoroughly I wrecked it with that last shot.

Alrighty.
At any rate, we really do need to stop the enemy retreat. Could someone that does still have any points left spend one to declare that something gets in the way? Maybe an advance regiment of Pandion Knights that double timed it on horseback and now stand poised to block Martel from exiting the city?

...scratch that last post of mine. I went back and checked. You were correct; an Aspect can be freely tagged, once, the instant it is introduced. So yeah, you should have got that tag. ...not that it makes one bit of difference, mind you. You're still hitting the Seeker.

Man now would be a good time to have an elite sniper shoot Martel's horse out from under him, wouldn't it?

Was Arkady specifically told that the folks in the peanut gallery may not raise the hue and cry?

Folks in the peanut gallery are not supposed to disturb the deliberations of the Patriarchs and/or make loud noises (which is why communication with said Patriarchs was by means of notes being carried down to them). Also, the famously neutral Archprelate's Guard will stop anyone trying to offer violence to anyone else inside the Basilica.
At no point was it mentioned what the penalties for breaking these rules might be.

No one said anything about the kinetic barrier going down, so I'm gonna keep using my sonic rifle. I figured Piper would have informed me of such, at the least. I think if the barrier hasn't gone down yet, it's gonna hold up juuust long enough for the Seeker and Martel to escape.
Also, the guards will stop anyone offering violence? How wide are the doors to the outside? Can Arkady keep Raven from leaving just by standing in his way in view of the guards? If Raven tries to assault him then they'll take him down.

I think he's leaving a door from another side of the building (that being nearest). Assuming I got that right, are there any guards by that door?
