The Squad makes its way into the three story loft apartment. Pat Briscoe is clearing out the rooms on the first floor with a liberal application of his M-4 carbine. Gares Tristoram can feel the source of the disturbance (most likely a vampire, but possibly two from the feel of it) on the third floor.

Briscoe grumbles as the damned rifle starts overheating and he switches to the pistol and headshots several downed zombies from far enough to avoid being attacked. Then he meets up with the rest of the group, his rifle in his hands again. "Jesus..good thing i packed triple load of mags..."

As he meets up with the rest of the group he pulls his pack around and starts taking mags from it and sliding them into his magazine pouches.

Judith follows up the stairs behind Gares with her magnum cocked and ready. She keeps a close watchout for any signs of attack or survivors.

Aimee follows behind Pat, knowing she probably won't get a shot at anything... but she keeps her eyes open, hoping that if something goes awry, she'll sense it in advance, or that she'll see something useful.

"Elevator up?" she asks, betting that there is none.

"I'd rather not be trapped in an elevator. Stairs'll be safer."

Thomas takes a quick look behind him, before noding towards the stairs.

There is no elevator. The second floor is much like the first. There are suprizingly no ghouls, and the one on the first floor Pat noticed looked out of place. This apartment seems to have been taken without incident.

Most likely, there is an ambush prepared for us either on the second or third floor. Do be prepared for it. Also be prepared for the possibility that our host is not working alone... well, either that, or he has the strength of two vampires. And to be honest, I personally am not sure which would put up more of a fight.

Nothin to mention on the second floor. Very modern furniture in blacks and whites. Gares can sence a twinge in one of the roms, but its definately not the target.

"Well, there's only one floor left... unless they're hiding in the woodwork," notes Aimee... who finds the concept of a vampire popping out of a wall to be both scary and frickin' awesome at the same time.

Hm... there's something wrong on this floor... Patrick, Thomas, be ready with the heavy weapons. We definately need to clean this floor out before we go any further, and I have the feeling there may be something unusual to clean. No idea what, though...

*Gares then gestures for them to get ready, and opens the door closest to the direction he's getting a bad vibe from.*

Aimee stands by to back the guys up... not that they're bound to need it....

Gares has found the coffins, two of 'em. Gares knows that whatever plans the vampires have, he can force their hands by meerly disturbing the coffins. The room is otherwise sparsely furnished, two wardrobes, and a small table with an ornate wooden box on it. Gares is slightly confused, since the room is not only above ground, but on the second floor.

Think they're expecting us? Perhaps we can even the odds?

She looks up the last flight of stairs to the third floor.

Hm... I think it may be in our best interest to examine the coffins. All of you, watch the door. I know how irritating it is for someone to disturb my bedding, and they may decide that the risk of them being damaged is greater than the risk of breaking whatever plot they had set up.

*With that, he heads over to the closest coffin, then opens it, seeing if there's any other reason why the coffin would be making him feel odd.*
