The rose petal is a beautiful shade of dusky pink, and still smells faintly of the flower from which it came. But it is just a flower petal, after all, and holds no special power. Whatever power there might be in this envelope, it is either already within Judith's mind, or within the letter itself.

Aimee takes Judith's other shoulder from behind, actually slightly freaked-out that Judith is so freaked-out... and that she's lip-synching to something.
"Jude... hey. Are you okay?" she asks, almost afraid for the answer.

"Rose petals...?"

Judith cradles the petals in her hand. She feels a bit more steady with Aimee's show of concern.


H-heh, pink. It seems familar for some reason.

She speaks slowly, looking pale and a bit feverish at the same time.

"Judith," starts Aimee, before looking worried as her roommate's cheeks pale.
"Judith, just open it," Aimee urges. Though she speaks softly, her words seem urgent.

She blinks at the sound of Aimee's voice and nods.

Yeah.

She unfolds the letter woodenly.
