This starship is not made to look good on the outside - it's made to travel from A to B efficiently. It's basically a tube, with short, stubby wings for some steering in atmosphere, engines on the rear, with an odd lump between the rocket engines where the Beeder-Two Hyperdrive goes.
The man at the door, double-checking the tickets and pointing people towards their seats, looks at the carry-on luggage in surprise, but makes no comment. (Various sensors implanted in the doorway fail to notice anything suspicious about Spot, due to the influence of the Singularity Key; and the man at the door, trusting the sensors, raises no questions).
On the inside, the passenger area is basically a tube, with seats and seatbelts. There's not many places to hide, and it's soon evident that Radcliffe isn't in any of the seats. Unless he's hiding in the toilet (which is occupied), he's not aboard this ship. The inside of this ship is very different to any ship that Spot has ever been on before - it has carpeting (which, Spot notices, is carefully designed to look bright and cheery while providing a firm hold to the crew's velcro boots in low-gravity situations) and comfortable seats. The spaceship is made to look good on the inside, since that's what most passengers will see the most of.
"Ladies and gentlemen," says the pilot's voice over the intercom as all the doors close, "this is your pilot speaking. Please place all carry-on luggage in the overhead storage compartments, take your seats and secure your seatbelts. We will be launching in one minute. If you will look towards the front of the craft -" one of the spaceship crew is there, holding a seatbelt and demonstrating everything the pilot describes - "our crew will demonstrate how to secure your seatbelts. Simply connect the two ends like so, and pull on the strap to adjust. To remove them, simply pull like so. In the event of a loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will automatically drop from the roof -" the crewmember at the front puts down his seatbelt and produces a disconnected oxygen mask - " place the mask over your face and secure the strap, like so. If you are travelling with a small child, secure your own mask first, then look to the child. If you are travelling with more than one small child, then pick your favourite. In the case of an emergency, there are emergency airlocks at the front, middle, and back of the passenger cabin, near the seats marked 'exit'. Should an emergency occur, the emergency lighting will direct you to the nearest exit."
The safety lecture drones on.
