Quit being babies! It's Diplomacy. This game has ended marriages! AND THAT IS AWESOME. Now we can't play with just four (I'm counting FB because he said he would play if it was the only way to make seven, and right now we don't have seven non-FB players) so jine up, dag nabbit!

Actually, I want everyone to make that promise to everyone.

I just want other people to join the game.

You can't count me unless I'm the only way to make seven. Which means you can't start until there's six, and you have to have exhausted all possible players first.

I'd love to join in, but for a variety of reasons won't be able to give the game the attention it deserves over the week of the 10th. So if you can find seven players who can start on the 10th, go ahead without me; if you need me to make up enough players, could I ask to delay the start a week?

Just to be contrary, I'm seriously considering trying to end the game with all seven powers still in existance (not necessarily more than one centre each, of course).

I'd also like to point out, for the consideration of everyone, that anyone who attempts to declare peace will not be supporting his own armies in that turn, and will therefore be ripe for a devastating surprise attack.

Eh. What the hell. I'll join in. I've been in the last few Diplomacy games and though I've not won, I've usually been instrumental in screwing someone out of a win. I think it was Salamander last time I played.

So note to self. Don't trust Salamander.

*Grillick will play only if people aren't gonna be unbreakable-alliance-hogs, which I kinda dislike myself. I can maybe see settling for a triple if you realize youre not going to be able to pull out the win, but I'd never set out from the beginning planning for a three-way victory> That isn't Dominating the World.

**FB will only play if it is the only way for us to get seven. SO personally I'll keep asking around to try to find another seventh instead of just abusing his condition.

I don't know if Sal addressed the fact that one of our number cant start till Tuesday. I'll call him later.

Yeah, I'm going to put this on hold until next week. At minimum, we don't for sure have 7 yet, and even though nobody wants to play Italy, I don't think an Italy-free game is the way to run.

Extra hours at work plus limited internet availability at home means that I am going to have to bow out of this game. Sorry, guys.

Which means we need to find one more player, or two if we don't want to abuse FB's condition.

Never played Diplomacy before. Most likely gonna be the first person to be terminated. I'll gladly sign up if you all will have me.
