For some reason I can't seem to creat a signature...it says I have a '0 character limit'. Is this just for new people, or....? Help?

I think the official reason is waste of space.

Signatures are evil and therefore not allowed.

signitures were seen as just a needless repitition that made people scroll down. The one thing I hate about some other forums is people who post a two word message and then have a sig that takes up half the page. Nobody actually reads those things.

well then, I stand corrected. Whom do I appeal to to have a small sig limit added? Like 25 characters? No banners, no images, just a sentence...or two. Help, Thyla?...Or am I the only one who cares?

Sorry. It is, and always has, that you have to manually add one yourself at the end of every post.

He's right, it's futile to even attempt to change that rule. There are some people who take it upon themselves to add on their own little thing at the end of their posts. I'm too lazy to give examples, but if you feel that strongly about it, that's how you can go about it.

So, questioned answered. Pretend this is locked!

Signatures will never be added. It is simply not necessary. Two common appeals:

1. I'd like to sign my name to my posts!

We know who's posting - your avatar, forum name, and location are displayed with every post, and you can also optionally display contact information in every post.

2. I'd like to include a witty tagline.

No thanks. We'd rather be convinced of your wit through your posts, not your sig.

3. I'll pay you $1000 to enable signatures.

Done deal! :-D

Sides, if your sig is really as short as your implying, you could probably fit it into your location.

Plus, a lot of people on some boards feel it is necessary to put pictures in their signatures in order to get around the avatar size requirements. And tha t gets REALLY annoying fast.

After all, everyone has a certain number of times that they can see this:

Quote:
:bunbun: fear the bunny

before they're ready to commit a triple homicide.

SBB knows I kid.

And don't forget:
:kiki: 'Stay good!'
:bert: 'BAH! CROTCH!'
:aylee: 'Humans are weird. But tasty!'

Ect, ect...and don't even get me started on banner sigs and really illiterate ones...
